The real-time PCR test detects DNA of a specific rice (Oryza sativa) qualitatively. Each reaction contains an internal amplification control (IAC).
The real-time PCR assay can be performed with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of two fluorescence emissions at the channels FAM and VIC/HEX at the same time. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Agilent Mx3005P, Agilent Aria Dx, Applied Biosystems 7500, Bio-Rad CFX96, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Qiagen RotorGene Q, LTF MyGo Pro and R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER.
The SureFood® PCR systems are very sensitive and therefore even a small amount of target DNA is sufficient for a successful analysis.
