Intended use
The test detects the relative quantitative MIR162-Corn DNA amount.
The kit contains two PCR systems, one event-specific for the MIR162-Corn (OECD unique identifier SYN-IR162-4) and the other one specific for Corn (reference system).
General Information
The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Agilent Mx3005P, Agilent AriaDx, Applied Biosystems 7500, BioRad CFX 96, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Roche LightCycler® 2.0, Roche cobas Z 480 Analyzer and Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q.

| LOD (Detection Limit) | The MIR162-Corn PCR has a limit of detection of ca. 5 DNA-copies. The assay limit of detection depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA-preparation and DNA-content. The limit of quantitation depends on the concentration of the sample DNA used in the analysis. For example, if 50,000 target-sequence copies of Corn specific reference gene are present, the relative quantitation limit for MIR162-Corn DNA is 0.1 %. |
